Instant Millet BisiBeleBath

Bisibelebath is a very famous rice-based dish from Karnataka. A combination of Rice, Lentils, and Vegetables makes it a Wholesome food for Breakfast or Lunch. And here I’ve used Millets and made this Instant Millet BisiBeLeBath.
Instant Millet BisiBeleBath
The advantage of using millets in this dish is that this dish is prepared and served in a mushy and gooey texture. Millets which people find hard to involve in other dry rice dishes can easily cook without harming the original taste. Full of goodness – nutritious, fibrous, gluten-free are the millets. India’s own crop and a farmer’s best friend are millets. Millets are reservoirs of proteins, vitamins, minerals, fibers, and iron. Millets are good for all ages.
Here are a few millets which can be replaced in this recipe :

Today we are making Instant BisiBeleBath using Barnyard Millet. Bisibelebath is a nutritious recipe with lots of vegetables and lentils in it. It has everything that is needed for a complete diet. Barnyard Millet (Echinochloa frumantacea) is the fastest-growing millet that can grow in just 45 days and is vastly cultivated in the hills of Uttaranchal in India. Barnyard Millet is called shyama in Bengali, moraiyo in Gujarati, sanwa in Hindi, oodalu in Kannada, kuthiraivolly in Tamil and udalu in Telugu.
The traditional method is to cook rice, lentil, and vegetables separately and then mix them add spices and tadka separately. As it’s an Instant recipe and keeping in mind that this can be a great lunchbox recipe I’ve kept the method short. This dish has become a part of my weekly diet as my whole family relishes it and I’m happy that I can add any varieties here.
Note: In this recipe, we are using Barnyard Millet, few vegetables, and lentils. You can use any millet, any vegetables, and any lentils of your choice. It is going to be equally tasty and healthy.
