Sesame seeds are very nutritious, these are rich in calcium, antioxidants and iron. These provide a good amount of energy necessary for the growing kids and help in curing dental caries in children due to the high content of calcium. In this recipe I’ve used Oats along with Sesame seeds to make this Bar. This adds a great texture and taste to the recipe.
This Sesame Oats Bar or Til ke chikki can be given for 1 year +. There are few cases of allergy but it is only with a family history. So just check of any symptoms or reactions in your child when you offer this. As its rarest of the rare case, there is no reason that you must be avoiding these super healthy seeds.

Ingredients
- Oats - 1 Cup
- Sesame Seeds - 1 Cup
- Jaggery - 1 Cup
- Ghee - 1/4 Cup
- Cashew Nuts - 10 Chopped
- Almonds - 10 Chopped
- Pista - 10 Chopped
Method
- In a pan dry Roast the oats and transfer to a plate
- In the same pan, roast sesame seeds by adding a tbsp of ghee and transfer to a plate
- Now, add ghee to the pan and roast the chopped nuts and keep aside
- To the same pan, add jaggery and little water. Boil until you get a one string consistency
- This can be checked by putting a drop of the boiling mixture into cold water and if you can make a boil, the consistency is good
- Immediately after this, add the roasted oats, sesame seeds and nuts.
- Add some additional ghee to enhance the taste (optional)
- Mix it all well and transfer to a greased plate
- Spread uniformly and make deep cuts, reverse the plate to get Oats Sesame Bar
- Oats sesame Bar is now ready to eat

Method:

2. In the same pan, roast sesame seeds for 5 minutes by adding a tbsp of ghee and transfer to a plate
3. Now, add ghee to the pan and roast the chopped nuts and keep aside
4. To the same pan, add jaggery and little water. Boil until you get a one string consistency
5. This can be checked by putting a drop of the boiling mixture into cold water and if you can make a boil, the consistency is good
6. Immediately after this, add the roasted oats, sesame seeds and nuts. Add some additional ghee to enhance the taste (optional)
7. Mix it all well and transfer to a greased plate
8. Spread uniformly and make deep cuts, reverse the plate to get Oats Sesame Bar
9. Oats Sesame Bar for Toddlers and Kids is now ready to eat
