Paneer Butter Masala is a famous north Indian dish. As the name suggests,its is made of paneer or cottage cheese with red gravy and lots of butter. This yummy dish in nutrition terms is rich of proteins from paneer and energy from butter.

This can be given to 10 months and above baby (if you have introduced spices and chewable solids) or else give it to 12 months +. Can be served with rice, roti or chapati.

You can enjoy making this famous dish easily at home. Just follow these simple steps as below.

Ingredients

To grind

  1. Onion - 3 medium
  2. Tomato - 3 medium
  3. Ginger - 1 inch
  4. Garlic - 8 pods
  5. Chilly powder - 1/2 Tbsp
  6. Coriander powder - 1/2 Tbsp
  7. Saunf / fennel seeds - 1tsp
  8. Cashew - 20 Nos. (soaked for 10 mins)
  9. Coconut - 4 Tbsp (grated)

For Curry

  1. Oil - 2 Tsp
  2. Curry leaves - few
  3. Milk - 2 cups
  4. Paneer - 200 gms
  5. Butter - 20 gms
  6. Salt - to taste

 

Method

  1. Take a blender. Add all the ingredients and grind the masala in smooth paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add curry leaves and the grinded masala. Add salt to taste.
  3. Cook till oil ooses out. Then add milk and boil it for 5 minutes.
  4. Now add butter and paneer cubes, mix well and cook it for 2 minutes more.
  5. Hot paneer butter masala ready to serve

  3. Cook till oil oozes out. Then add milk and boil it for 5 minutes.
