French Toast Sticks bread recipe for toddlers kids snackbox hindi kannada

These French Toast Sticks are the perfect finger food for toddlers – easy to hold, fun to eat, and packed with protein! Unlike traditional French toast, these bite-sized sticks are designed for little hands, with a crispy exterior and soft center. My no-soggy method (using spoon application) ensures perfect texture every time. Great for baby-led weaning (BLW), breakfast, or snack boxes!

Here we shall prepare custard first using eggs. If you are worried about your french toasts sticks turning soggy, try these tips – 1. Apply the custard over the bread with a spoon. 2. Use these slices of bread.

Ingredients

For Custard

  1. Egg - 2
  2. Milk - 1/2 cup
  3. Sugar - 2 tsp
  4. Cinnamon Powder - 1/2 tsp
  5. Vanilla Essence - 2 tsp

For Cinnamon Sugar

  1. Cinnamon - 1 tsp
  2. Sugar - 1/4 cup

Other ingredients

  1. Bread Slices - 6
  2. Butter - 2 tbsp
  3. Honey - 2 tbsp

Method

  1. In a wide bowl, add whole eggs, followed by milk.
  2. To this, add some sugar and vanilla essence followed by cinnamon powder
  3. Blend this mixture well, instead, you can also mix it well with a spoon, but blending gives you a creamy texture.
  4. Now, on another plate cut the bread in desired shapes by removing the edges. Here I have cut it in a rectangular shape.
  5. Now pour the mixture over the bread, if you find it soggy you can even apply the egg mixture using a spoon. After few minutes flip over the bread so that mixture spreads evenly.
  6. Now breadsticks are ready to toast. Pour some butter on tava, place these breadsticks, and roast it for about 2 - 3 mins or until it turns golden brown.
  7. Once the toast sticks are ready, now is the time for toppings, in a small cup mix the sugar and cinnamon powder and sprinkle on the hot toast sticks. Ensure the sticks should be hot enough otherwise they will not absorb the sugar and cinnamon powder.
  8. French toast sticks are all ready to be served.
