If you do not have Sathumavu just replace it with another cup of Besan/Chickpea flour
Baked Sev with Sathumavu has been designed to cater to the toddlers nutritional needs and the health benefits hence its baked and not oil fried. We can hand it over to the toddlers with a spoon in a cup on a drive and allow them to master their motor skills and also keep them engage for quite some time and yet filling their hunger pangs.

Sathumavu being the first food for the babies we tried our hands on making this health mix as our all-purpose health powder as the base for the Baked Sev with Sathumavu. In short, Sathumavu is a Healthy Millet mix powder, organically homemade Protein-rich porridge mix, highly termed as Baby ceralac, for its instant preparation properties, it is parents friendly. This instant powder can be termed as an all-purpose powder for the health benefits of the growing babies and toddlers is made available anytime and every time. Sathumavu is basically a combination of mixed Millet flour that’s sprouted for added nutrients, to make the energy mix. This is a very handy recipe, just take Millet of choice and sprout them, and grind to make powder or flour.

Ingredients
- Sathumavu -1 cup
- Chickpea Flour – ½ cup
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Lemon Juice – ½
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Hing – pinch
- Ajwain – pinch
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Salt – To taste
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp (Or as required)
- Water – As required
Method
- All ingredients are made ready to use. Transfer all the dry ingredients one by one to a clean glass bowl for mixing and give a quick hand mix.
- Now add Water as required and mix the dry ingredients and knead the dough air free. Make two portions of the dough and now we are good to go and ready to use for the next step.
- Grease the sev press/ sev mould with Ghee and transfer one portion of the mixed dough to it.
- Now spread it evenly on a butter papered baking tray without overlapping the pressed dough. This will result in uniform baking of the dough. Now transfer the baking tray on to the oven for 15 minutes at 200 degree Celsius and we have the Baked Sathumavu Sev ready to serve.
- Crispy, healthy nutritious oil free travel friendly and most importantly mouth watering baby friendly Baked Sathumavu Sev is ready to serve for the babies and the family.

Method of making Sathumavu Sev
1. All ingredients are made ready to use. Transfer all the dry ingredients one by one to a clean glass bowl for mixing and give a quick hand mix.
2. Now add Water as required mix the dry ingredients and knead the dough air-free. Make two portions of the dough and now we are good to go and ready to use for the next step.
3. Grease the sev press/ sev mold with Ghee and transfer one portion of the mixed dough to it.
4. Now spread it evenly on a butter papered baking tray without overlapping the pressed dough. This will result in uniform baking of the dough. Now transfer the baking tray on to the oven for 15 minutes at 200 degree Celsius and we have the Baked Sathumavu Sev ready to serve.
5. Crispy, healthy nutritious oil-free travel-friendly, and most importantly mouth-watering baby-friendly Baked Sathumavu Sev is ready to serve for the babies and the family.
