Ingredients
- Thick Curd- 3 tbsp
- Gram flour - 2tbsp
- Rice flour - 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder- ½ tsp
- Salt as needed
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Toppings :
- Poppy Seeds - Little
- Mixed Italian Herbs - Little
- Chilli flakes - Optional
Method
- Take a mixing bowl, add gram flour and rice flour. Spices like Coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt can be added now. Skip the salt for babies below a year.
- To the mixture add thick curd and make the batter, the consistency should be slightly thicker than dosa consistency almost like an idli batter. Do not add more water, as the batter may become too runny. You can use hung curd too.
- Heat a pan, drizzle ghee, and pour the batter into a spoon. Keep it coin-sized and slightly thick. Top it with poppy seeds, mixed Italian herbs, and chili flakes. Chilli flakes are recommended only for babies above 18 months, who can bear the spice.
- Cover the lid and cook for about 5 - 7 minutes and add additional ghee/ oil if required.
- Continue to cook on medium flame, flip and cook both the sides. Once cooked, take it to a serving plate.
- Delicious Pan coins are ready to be served.
