Cheesy Red Sauce Pasta for Kids

When your little one starts growing and especially going to playschool or school every parent realizes that they demand variety in food. The change is good and welcoming and can get overwhelming when you have little time in hand in the morning and you need to make something which your little will finish off in his tiffin. I found this Whole Wheat Pasta in a grocery store and thought to give it a try.

This Cheesy Red Sauce Pasta is too colorful to lure your little ones. Tomato-based Pasta with herbs in it tastes delicious and can be made very quickly. A great Lunch Box Recipe for picky eaters. The vegetables in this along with cheese make it a nutritious breakfast option keeping your worry of feeding them veggies at bay. This can be given to 18 months and above. To make this recipe I’ve used Wonderchef Nutri-blender, Prestige Pressure Cooker, and Prestige 3 Set Cookware with Glass Lid.

Cheesy Red Sauce Pasta Recipe Method
Cheesy Red Sauce Pasta

Ingredients
- WW Pasta - 200 gms
- Salt - 1 tsp + 1/2 tbsp
- Tomato - 400 gms
- Olive Oil - 4 tsp
- Onion - 1 small
- Sweet Corn - 1/2 cup
- Capsicum - 1 small
- Pepper Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
- Mixed Herbs - 1 tsp
- Italian Seasoning - 1 tsp
- Chilli Flakes - 1 tsp
- Tomato Ketchup - 2 tbsp (optional)
- Cheese - 2 tbsp grated
Method
- Take a pan and add 4 cups of water and boil it well. Add Whole Wheat Pasta and add 1 tsp salt and cook the mixture till the Pasta is cooked soft.
- Once the pasta is well cooked immediate strain the excess water and keep it aside. Meanwhile for the tomato sauce you can cook the tomato in Pressure Cooker for 3 whistles or pan cook for 10 minutes.
- When cooled you can open the lid of the Pressure Cooker and deskin the tomatoes and blend it to smooth puree. Make sure to get rid of extra water if its too much.
- Take a pan and add Olive Oil or once hot add onion fry it well for 2 minutes until transparent. Add Sweet Corn and chopped Capsicum and mix it and cook it for 2 more minutes.
- Once well cooked add the tomato puree mixture to this followed by Pepper Powder, Mixed Herbs, Italian Seasoning, Chilli Flakes, Tomato Ketchup and salt.
- Mix well and simmer for minimum 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Add grated cheese.
- Add cooked Pasta and mix and close the lid and simmer for just another minute or two and then serve the hot Cheesy Red Sauce Pasta topping some more cheese for cheese lovers.

Method of making Cheesy Red Sauce Pasta :
