Studies say that 4 children are abused or molested every 1 hour in India. 3-7 years of kids are highly targeted. It’s highly important that we educate them and help them safeguard themselves today. At such a tender age where you can’t explain the consequences, using the method of educating them on Good Touch and Bad Touch can be easier to educate those innocent minds. 

A parent must know that is not gendered biased and both girls and boys of any tender age can be a victim of this shameful act. It’s highly shameful to even acknowledge that the culprits can be close relatives, someone from your friends’ family or anybody in school. Even abuser can be man or a woman. It worries me to think “Where is my child safe?”. Instead of worrying I decided to educate my child and support other parents in doing the same with this article.

What is Good Touch?

• A touch that makes you happy, feels nice and warm

• Hugs and kisses from loved ones. 

• Holding friend’s hands while playing.

What is Bad Touch?

• Makes you feel uncomfortable.

• Feels like you want to stop it immediately

What are No Touch Zones?

No Touch Zones are private parts which no one should touch/see apart from your parents or doctor. Neither anyone can make you show that to them, nor anyone is allowed to show their No-Touch Zone to you.

Anywhere between 2 years to 5 years of age your kids must be educated on Good Touch and Bad Touch. This can be based on how soon your kid starts going out to park, going to daycare, playschool or school.

1. Create a Safe Circle :

Create a warmth of trust and bonding with your child. They must not shy away or be scared to share anything from you. Be a friend first then a Parent.
