• Hydration

As kids get dehydrated very quickly it’s important to feed them lots of liquids. Breastfeeding or formula feeding a baby helps. For older children, it is good to water, homemade juices and avoids milk, caffeine, or fizz based drinks. You can also give them electrolyte or salt and sugar drinks for better healing.
• Food

Make them eat small meals throughout the day, instead of 3 big meals. Choose easily digestible foods that have less spice and oil. Well cooked, homemade food should be good.
Visit the doctor if the stomach ache is severe, fever increases, diarrhea becomes worse and you see streaks of blood and the child does not get better in 24 hours.
Remember you can prevent this by eating fresh homemade-well cooked foods, drinking pure water, using well-cleaned utensils, avoiding street foods, washing fruits well before use, drinking pasteurized milk, and last but not the least developing hygiene habits like regular hand wash and bathing.
