It is rice cooked with pulses or lentils & even vegetables, known as Khichuri in Bengal, Khechidi in Odisha & the rest of India in Khichdi. In Indian culture, it is one of the best first solid foods introduced to babies and a wholesome meal for toddlers, kids & adults as well.

SPINACH & MASOOR KHICHDI for Babies, Toddlers, Kids & Family

Ingredients
- Spinach - 10 leaves chopped
- Masoor Dal - 2 tbsp
- Rice - 1/4 cup
- Cumin / Jeera - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garlic - 4-5 nos.
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Salt - for 1 Year + only
Method
- In a pressure cooker, add ghee, cumin seeds, garlic chopped / paste, chopped spinach
- Give it a nice stir
- Add all other ingredients and fry for 1 minute
- Now add water, close the lid
- Wait till 3-4 whistles. Switch off the flame and let the cooker cool
- Spinach & Masoor Khichdi is now ready to serve

Method of making SPINACH & MASOOR KHICHDIÂ
1. In a pressure cooker, add ghee, cumin seeds, garlic chopped / paste, chopped spinach
2. Give it a nice stir
3. Add all other ingredients and fry for 1 minute
4. Now add water, close the lid
5. Wait till 3-4 whistles. Switch off the flame and let the cooker cool
6. Spinach & Masoor Khichdi is now ready to serve
