Dal Spinach Soup for Babies & Kids
Green Vegetables are the best source of Iron for Vegetarians. Spinach or Palak is also rich in calcium,Vitamin A, C, E, K, B2, B6, protein, folic acid, omega-3 fatty acids, and other antioxidants. The best way to start this for babies is by making Spinach Puree initially and then slowly when you introduce other elements like spices and lentils this recipe makes it best for them, even as a home remedy for cough or cold.

Spinach soups can be made along with different types of lentils. I’ve used Masoor Dal here which amongst lentils is easily digestible just like Moong Dal. Its always good to introduce all food varieties to babies before 1 year so that they get used to all textures, taste. This also helps their brain understand varieties and starts loving all foods. I must say this is the best tip to avoid having a future Picky Eater. This Dal Spinach Soup can be given to 7 months + babies after introducing basic solids.
I request you to check out our Soup Recipe Collection for Babies. Our Khichdi Recipe Collection with the best Indian combinations is well appreciated. A complete list of Home Remedies for Cough or Cold in Babies can be helpful too. I’ve used Wonderchef Blender to make this recipe along with a small Prestige Pressure Cooker. You can use a Hand Blender to make this soup too.
