Apple Beetroot Carrot Puree is a super delicious natural homemade puree loved by most babies and super nutritious too. The ingredients included here have their own natural flavor and taste that you would not need to add anything extra to this. The combination of two vegetables and one fruit makes it nutritionally rich and contains iron, potassium, vitamins, manganese, magnesium, zinc, copper etc.
Once we introduce individual fruit or vegetable purees to babies we can try introducing them to combinations. If you are someone who prefers giving mashed food or moved to mashed food from purees, you can simply mash the ingredients used here and offer it to the baby, as textures are good to be given. Ingredients
- Apple - 1/2 cup chopped
- Beetroot - 1/2 cup chopped
- Carrot - 1/2 cup chopped
Method
- Take Apple de-skinned and thinly chopped beetroot in a pan.
- Add carrot followed by water. Do not add too much water to cook ensuring all the water is used to make a thick puree.
- Cover the vessel with a lid and cook for 10-15 minutes or pressure cook for 1 whistle. Once done do a fork test to check if all ingredients are well cooked.
- Take the ingredients to a blender jar and grind it to a fine puree. Transfer to a bowl.
- Apple Beetroot Carrot Puree is ready to be served.

Method :

Note :
1. It’s good to give this puree after introducing basic solids and individual purees.
2. There is no need to add any spices, if required you can add cardamom or cinnamon powder a pinch.
3. Do not discard the water in which the ingredients are cooked.
4. It’s good to talk to the doctor before introducing any new food.
