Apple Crumble for Toddlers and Kids

Apple Crumble is a recipe and an all-time favorite quick and easy dessert. Just like an Apple crisp, an Apple crumble is a baked fruit dessert with a layer of Oats topping “A Healthier Sweet treat” for babies, kids and the whole family will find this so appealing as an after food dessert suitable for babies from 10 months.
Apple Crumble is an easy and delicious preparation usually soft in texture, crisp on the outside with fruity and intense aroma from stewed apple and cinnamon is surely a delight for taste buds. I have made it vegan by adding coconut oil and jaggery/palm sugar can be used for adding sweetness your little one will love as dessert.

Ingredients
Mixture -1
- Apple - 3
- Cinnamon powder- ½ tsp
- Nutmeg powder - a pinch
- Jaggery powder / Palm sugar - ¼ cup
Mixture 2 :
- Coconut Oil / Ghee / Butter - ⅓ cup
- Jaggery/ Palm sugar - ½ cup
- Cinnamon powder - ½ tsp
- Salt - ¼ tsp
- Wheat flour - ½ + ¼ Cup
- Instant Oats - ½ cup
Method
- Mixture 1 - Take a medium-sized Apple, remove the skin and grate it in a thick grater. Small graters can make it too mushy.
- Transfer the grated Apple to a mixing bowl and add Cinnamon powder.
- Add Palm Jaggery/ Jaggery and mix it well and keep it aside.
- For Mixture 2- In another Mixing bowl, take the second measure of Palm Jaggery and add Coconut Oil or Ghee, or Butter.
- To this add Cinnamon powder followed by salt and mix well.
- Give it all a good mix and later add Wheat Flour.
- Add Instant Oats and mix all the ingredients well using your hands.
- Once mixed it becomes a crumbled mixture as shown in the picture, Take a cake tin, start by layering the apple mixture.
- On top of the apple, mixture layer add crumbled wheat and oats mixture layer and level it up. A wider baking pan and not thicker than an inch on layering is recommended. My ingredients doubled up but I didn’t get a wide pan unfortunately here.
- In the Oven bake at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. When done the Apple Crumble as it is shown in the picture allows the temperature to cool down a bit. You can cut using a steel knife.
- Observe the perfect texture, it is crisp on top and soft on the inside. Take the Apple to crumble to the serving plate and serve once cooled.
- Delicious and yummy Apple Crumble is ready to be served.

Method of preparing Apple Crumble
