AshGourd or Winter Melon a nutritive vegetable in its new avatar delivering its crispy taste in the form of Dosa for the entire family in this hot summers giving the cooling effect for the breakfast or dinner.

Ingredients

  1. Ashgourd - ½ kg
  2. Rice – ½ cup
  3. Coconut grated – 1-2 tbsp (Optional)
  4. Salt – As needed

Method

  1. Above mentioned ingredients are kept accessible and let’s quickly start the preparations. Add the peeled and chopped cubes of ½ kg Ash Gourd into the mixer.
  2. Add the strained Rice – ½ cup that’s soaked overnight for for 3 hours minimum, add the grated fresh coconut and Salt to taste and grind the ingredients. Let the batter be a little thicker than Idly batter or as required when you pour on the Tava. Pour the Ash Gourd Dosa batter onto a greased non-stick dosa pan and spread it accordingly.  Cook it on both sides and it’s good to go.
  3. Tasty and crispy, light for the tummy and weather, our special no ferment quick Ash Gourd Dosa is ready to serve with chutney, Pudi, ghee, jam or ketchup.
