Creamy Radish Soup for Babies, Toddlers & Kids | Cough & Cold Remedy

Mooli or Radish is a root vegetable that helps beat cold and cough, helps recover from jaundice, fights constipation, and boosts immunity. The benefits of using Radish or Mooli for babies and kids are immense and hence to start with I’m suggesting this Creamy Radish Soup for Babies, Toddlers, and Kids. Even adults can have this as their regular health drink in the evening or makes for a great home remedy for them too.
Radish or Mooli is rich in nutrients like Vitamins E, A, C, B6, and K. They also contain a good amount of fiber, zinc, potassium, copper, calcium, iron, and anti-oxidants. These help in keeping our body in good working condition. It’s great for the skin and keeps one hydrated for long. In this recipe of Creamy Radish Soup, I’ve also included potatoes to add on the required carbohydrates and give it a good creamy texture. For adults or older kids, you can skip potato though.

Creamy Radish Soup for Babies, Toddlers & Kids | Cough & Cold Remedy

Ingredients
- Radish/Mooli - 2 small
- Potato - 1 small
- Cumin Powder - a pinch
- Pepper Powder - a pinch
- Coriander leaves - some chopped
- Salt - optional
Method
- Take a pressure pan or a cooking bowl. Add chopped Radish/Mooli followed by chopped potatoes.
- Add water just little enough to cook. Later throw in a little cumin powder, pepper powder and salt.
- Close the lid and pressure cook the mixture for 2 whistles or pan cook for about 15 minutes. Once cooked transfer the cooked mixture to a blender jar. Ensure not to add on too much of water while grinding.
- Blend the mixture to a smooth paste and you can see a creamy soup ready now.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl add some chopped coriander leaves and mix. This is optional though.
- Creamy Radish Soup is ready to be served.

Method

3. Close the lid and pressure cook the mixture for 2 whistles or pan cook for about 15 minutes. Once cooked transfer the cooked mixture to a blender jar. Ensure not to add on too much of water while grinding.
4. Blend the mixture to a smooth paste and you can see a creamy soup ready now.
5. Transfer the mixture to a bowl add some chopped coriander leaves and mix. This is optional though.
6. Creamy Radish Soup is ready to be served.

Note :
1. For babies below 1 year skip the salt and keep the soup thick when served.
2. For toddlers and kids, you can keep chunks of radish a bit while grinding.
3. Serve hot for best results.
4. For adults, you can skip potatoes.
