These health benefits make it best to introduce them to our babies after starting solids. This Oats Mooli Paratha can be served as a finger-food for babies minus salt and makes a healthy Breakfast and Snackbox option too.

This can be given to 8 months and above baby (if you have introduced spices and chewable solids) or else give it to 12 months +.

OATS MOOLI PARATHA for Babies, Toddlers, Kids & Family

A quick, healthy and easy Flavorful Paratha recipe which can be served for breakfast or munched during snack-time too.

Ingredients

  1. Raddish or Mooli - 5 grated
  2. Oats -  1 cup
  3. Wheat flour - 1 1/2 cup
  4. Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  6. Ajwain or Carom seed - 2 tsp
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Oil - 2 Tbsp
  9. Ghee - to roast

Method

  • Squeeze out the Juice from Grated Mooli to a bowl and keep it aside.
  • Take a pan add squeezed out Mooli, Chilli Powder, Turmeric, Carom Seeds, Salt and Oil and fry on medium flame till the mixture becomes mushy.
  • Transfer the mixture to a plate and allow it to cool.
  • Take the Bowl with Mooli/Radish Juice, add Oats, Wheat Flour and Mooli Mixture and form a dough.
  • Roll out thin Parathas and cook it on low flame.
  • Add ghee/oil on both sides to cookpreparing this Oats Mooli Paratha.

Note :

  • Ensure that you do not over cook the Mooli Masala Mix.
  • Grated Mooli Juice was enough for me to make a dough. Add very little water if required.
  • As we have already cooked the mixture in oil, the dough wouldn’t need additional oil.
  • Do not expect it to be easily pliable like chapatti dough. Slowly roll out to form a thin paratha.

3. Make small balls of grated Mooli, extract or squeeze the juice in a glass collecting bowl, we can reuse the Mooli Juice later while mixing the dough.

4. Add the extracted Radish to a heated non-stick tava.
