Paneer Capsicum Dry

Paneer is high in Calcium a necessary nutrient for growing children. This Paneer Capsicum Dry goes well with Roti. The paste made with Cashew and Almonds gives it a nice flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  1. Paneer - 200 gm
  2. Capsicum - 1
  3. Oil - 3 tss
    For Paste :
  4. Cashewnuts - 20
  5. Almonds - 5
  6. Tomato - 1
  7. Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
  8. Coriander Powder - 1 tsp

Method

  1. Take a small bowl and soak cashewnuts and almonds in a little water for about 10 minutes. In a blender jar add tomatoes chopped.
  2. Add soaked almonds and cashewnuts followed by chilli powder and coriander powder. With very minimum water blend it to a thick paste and keep it ready.
  3. Take a kadai or a non stick pan add 3 tsp of oil and heat it. Once hot add roughly chopped capsicum and fry it for 2 minutes. Now add the ground masala or paste and fry it till it leaves oil in sides.
  4. Add turmeric powder and salt and mix it. Add chopped cube shaped paneer pieces to the mixture and mix again. Be careful not to break soft paneer cubes. 
  5. Close it with a lid and cook it for about 2 minutes. Open the lid and the curry is ready.
  6. Paneer Capsicum Dry is ready to be served.

5. Close it with a lid and cook it for about 2 minutes. Open the lid and the curry is ready

Notes :

  1. You can add more tomatoes for a gravy-like mix.
  2. Soak paneer in hot water for 2 minutes if you find them hard.
  3. Add less spice and serve for babies or toddlers as finger food.
