Kerala Banana Halwa prepared for festivities & as travel food for instant energy boosting among kids & toddlers, also a easy snack box recipe.

Ingredients

  1. Kerala Banana Powder – ½ cup
  2. Dry Fruits Powder – 2 tbsp
  3. Cardamom Powder – ½ tbsp
  4. Ghee – 2 tbsp
  5. Almond – 10 numbers
  6. Cashew – 10 numbers
  7. Kesar – 10 Strands
  8. Jaggery Powder – 4 tbsp
  9. Water – 3 cups

Method

  1. Add 1tbsp of Ghee to the heated non-stick cooking pan.
  2. Once the Ghee melts chopped Almonds and Cashew Nuts are added, roast them for 5 minutes till the nuts turn golden brown. Transfer to a glass bowl separately for later use.
  3. To another frying pan add 3 cups water.
  4. Now add Kerala Banana Powder ½ cup and mix well to form a lump free mixture.
  5. After which Dry Fruits Powder and Jaggery Powder are added to the pan and mixed well in low flame.
  6. Add 2- 3 tbsp of Ghee and cook till the mixture thickens.
  7. To this add kesar 10 strands, and Cardamom Powder ½ tbsp.
  8. Add the previously roaster golden fried Almonds and Cashew Nuts and mix well.
  9. The Kerala Banana Halwa mixture is transferred to a plate greased with Ghee on all sides.
  10. Allow the mixture to set and cool.
  11. Now with a greased knife cut the Halwa to your desired shapes and Kerala Banana Halwa is ready to serve.

Method of making Kerala Banana Halwa

1. Add 1tbsp of Ghee to the heated non-stick cooking pan. Once the Ghee melts chopped Almonds and Cashew Nuts are added, roast them for 5 minutes till the nuts turn golden brown. Transfer to a glass bowl separately for later use.

3. Now add Kerala Banana Powder ½ cup and mix well to form a lump-free mixture.

4. After which Dry Fruits Powder and Jaggery Powder are added to the pan and mixed well in low flame.
