Sprouting Procedure

• Wash ragi seeds thoroughly and soak them in drinking water overnight.

• Drain out all the water in the next afternoon.

• Take a perforated utensil and line it with a muslin cloth. Transfer the ragi seeds.

• Tie it up and place for at least 12 hours or overnight in a warm undisturbed place.

• The next day we can see sprouted ragi seeds with tiny white sprouts on their top.

• Spread those sprouted seeds on a clean dry surface under sunlight or fan till it’s completely dry.

Method of making Sprouted Ragi Milk Porridge for Babies & Toddlers

1. A bowl of sprouted ragi is transferred to the mixer. (Already Sprouted Ragi or overnight approximately 8 hours Soaked Ragi)

2. Firstly grind the mixer contents dry without or less water to make a coarse mixture.

3. Now add little water for the mixer to grind to an extremely smooth texture, this helps in releasing the ragi koozh or ragi milk from the Sprouted ragi.

4. Repeat the above process again; adding water helps to strain the ragi koozh well.

5. Transfer the smooth ground ragi mixture to a bowl layered with a clean white muslin cloth.
