Peas Potato Puree for Babies and Toddlers

Peas Potato Puree is a super nutritious and incredibly easy puree recipe for babies. The combination of Peas and Potato makes the puree delicious and fulfilling for the baby. It is a great idea for parents who are about to start offering vegetables with a variety of tastes and textures. This can be offered to babies from 6+ Months.
Peas are rich in calcium and essential minerals as well and as we all know Potato is a great carbohydrate or energy source. On the contrary, many parents avoid the usage of these vegetables as they think these ingredients have the potential to cause gas. Remember all or any food when consumed in moderation is healthy. In this recipe, I have added Cumin powder which can ease digestion and also enhance the taste and flavor.

Ingredients
- Peas – ¼ cup
- Potato - 1 medium
- Cumin / Jeera Powder
- Salt – Optional
Method
- Add raw peas and potato in a wide pan. Add water cover it with a lid, cook it until soft.
- Transfer the cooked peas and potato to a blender jar. Be careful here while adding water to the blender. For thick, consistency add less water. Here I am adding cumin /jeera powder which adds taste to the puree.
- Make a fine puree and serve warm in a bowl.
Note:
- One can steam the peas and potato instead of boiling them in water.
- The texture of puree can be altered, for kids, it can be made coarse too.

Method of preparing Peas Potato Puree
1. Add raw peas and potato in a wide pan. Add water cover it with a lid, cook it until soft.
2. Transfer the cooked peas and potato to a blender jar. Be careful here while adding water to the blender. For thick consistency add less water. Here I am adding cumin /jeera powder which adds taste to the puree.
3. Make a fine puree and serve warm in a bowl.
