SOOJI GUJIA WITH JAGGERY for Toddlers, Kids & Family

Sooji Gujia with Jaggery is a perfect sweet for festivity celebration with crispy in the outside and soft and sweet in the inside. A travel friendly sweet and very attractive for the kids and toddlers as well.

Ingredients

For Dough : 

  • Chiroti Rava - 2 cups
  • Water - Little as needed
  • Hot Oil + Ghee - 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp

Stuffing :

Method

  • Mix Chiroti rava - 2 cups with 2 tbsp of heated Oil to get crumbly texture and mix well.
  • Now add water little by little to make a very hard dough.
  • Add Khus Khus - 50 grams and dry roast it, now separately dry roast Roasted Fried Gram - 1/4 cup and keep a side.
  • Similarly dry roast sesame seeds, poppy seeds and keep a side to cool.
  • Powder all the ingredients separately and add it to a mixing bowl including Grated Dry Coconut grind it separately. Grind chunks of jaggery in 2-3 portions adding fried gram powder little by little to avoid gooey texture of the Jaggery this will allow to have a dry filling to stuff in the Sooji Gujia with Jaggery. Now mix all the ingredients by adding Cardamom to make the filling.
  • Mix all the dry ingredients well for filling. Now take a small ball of the dough roll out the dough as needed.
  • Fill the stuffing in the center close and shape the edges using hand or fork or gujia press.
  • Deep fry on medium flame until cooked and its ready to serve.
  • Sooji Gujia is ready to serve and relish.
