Fever weakens the body and reduces appetite in babies and it is important to offer the right food in the right way and this video shall help you plan it a bit without fretting. Foods Offered During Fever

When your child has fever, it is to be expected that there will be a loss of appetite. You may notice that your baby is more restless due to the infection, making it difficult to eat. In this case, it is perfectly normal for your baby to just take breastmilk or formula milk at regular intervals.

Babies should be exclusively fed breast milk or formula milk until they turn one year old. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Medical Council (IMO), breast milk is the best form of nutrition for babies and should be the main source of food during the first year of life. Solids should only be offered as a supplementary or complementary food source and should not replace breast milk or formula. If a baby fails to eat enough solids, they may experience weight loss. However, this is usually only temporary and can be corrected by providing nutrient-rich, high-fat foods when the baby is feeling better.
