Gond ke Laddu or Dry Fruit Balls for Lactating Mothers | Protein Balls for Kids

Ingredients
- Gond - 100 gm
- Almonds - 100 gm
- Cashewnuts - 100 gm
- Pistachio - 100 gm
- Dry Dates - 100 gm
- Raisins - 100 gm
- Walnut - 100 gm
- Poppy Seeds - 50 gm
- Cardamom - 10 Dry
- Coconut - 100 gm
- Clove - 10
- Jaggery - 3/4 kg
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Ghee as needed
Method
- Take crushed jaggery in a vessel and pour some water, keep this aside for a while. Now grind dry coconut to a fine powder. In a pan take poppy seeds and fry it for a minute or two not more than that, transfer it to a blender jar also dry roast some whole cardamom pieces and transfer it to the same blender jar and blend it together.
- Now add all the dry fruits one by one in the above-mentioned quantities. Start with almonds put some ghee fry it until it changes the color and kept it aside. Note that all the dry fruits need to be fried in the medium flame. Once fried collect all the dry fruits in one big vessel.
- Now add chopped cashew nuts and add ghee to it, fry it and keep it aside. Take walnuts and add some ghee to it fry and keep it aside.
- Add pistachio in the same pattern add some ghee to it, fry, and keep it aside. Now add raisins add some ghee and fry this. Fry raisins until it swells up and keep it aside. Note that select raisins that are sweet in taste not sour. Also, add the double the amount of ghee to raisins when compared to the amount of ghee added to other dry fruits.
- Take dry dates preferably since the wet dates might turn too sticky so it's better to go for dry dates, chop and add some ghee, fry and keep it aside. Now add some ghee to the pan and add crushed gondh/gum little by little to the pan and fry, they swell up usually to the size of popcorn. Allow it to cool down and grind them to a fine powder.
- Take the jaggery and water mixture to bring it to the boil, until you get 1 string consistency.
- Take the vessel which has all the fried dry fruits, add jaggery syrup mix it, now add other ingredients one by one. First, add dry coconut powder.
- Add fried gondh powder, mix all the ingredients well add ground poppy seeds, and cardamom powder.
- Add crushed cloves, and mix all this and shape into small laddus. Gond Ke Laddu is ready to savor.
